What we collect when you shop with us, why we hold it, who else touches it, and how to make us delete it.

What we collect, and why

We do not buy customer lists, and we do not sell, rent or trade your details to anybody.

Cookies

Some cookies are structural — they remember what is in your basket and keep you signed in, and the shop cannot function without them. Others measure traffic in aggregate. You can refuse the non-essential ones in the banner when you arrive, or clear them from your browser settings at any time; the shop will still work.

Who else handles your data

Running a shop means a handful of companies necessarily see parts of an order. Each is bound to use it only for the job we give them.

Shopify — hosts this store and processes orders.
Our payment processors — take the payment and screen it for fraud.
USPS — receives the delivery address in order to deliver the parcel.
Our email provider — sends order confirmations and the mailing list.

We also disclose information where a court order, subpoena or applicable law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Support correspondence is kept for two years and then deleted.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you the information we hold on you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comparable statutes have these rights in law, and we extend the same treatment to everybody rather than sorting customers by postcode.

Write to Support@sanfordkid.com from the address on the order. We reply within thirty days. We will never charge you for a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link at the foot. It works immediately. Transactional email about an order you actually placed will still reach you.

Security

The site runs over TLS and payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfect, so if we ever discover a breach affecting your information we will tell you and the relevant authorities without delay.

Children

This is a shop for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has given us details, tell us and we will erase them.
