Size guide

Every dress here comes in S, M, L and XL. Most also come in XXL. XS and XXXL exist on only a few dresses, so the size list on the dress itself is the one to trust. They are modern sizes, not period sizes. The silhouette is a reproduction of a mid-century cut, but the grading is contemporary, so start from the size you wear today rather than from the number on a vintage label.

Everything is measured by hand

Allow 1–2 cm of variance on any measurement (1 cm = 0.39 in). That is not a disclaimer written to cover a guess. It is the honest tolerance of putting a tape to a finished garment.

Ask us before you order

We do not publish a single chart for the whole shop, because one table across these shapes would not be true: a fitted lace dress and a full swing skirt do not grade the same way, and a chart that averaged them would mislead you on both. Instead, tell us which dress and which size you are looking at before you order.

If you are between two sizes

Say so when you write. Stretch varies from dress to dress: some have none at all, some a little, some more, and each product page names which. Which way to size depends on the specific garment, not on a general rule.
