Lace runs through more of this rail than any other cloth, and for most people it is the reason they arrive. These are period-cut reproduction dresses cut to modern sizing in modern fabric — the shapes come from the forties and the fifties, with the occasional outlier from later, and the sizing comes from none of them.
What sits under the name varies more than the word suggests. Some pieces are lace throughout. Some carry it as a collar, as a trim at the neckline, or as a panel laid over a full lining. Some are laced at the back rather than built from lace at all, and both readings belong here, because both are what the garment is.
Colours run from black and white through pink, blue, green, yellow and beige. Hems sit above the knee, at the knee, below it, and once or twice at the ankle. Sleeves range from none at all, to a cap, to a full gigot, and closures are mostly a concealed zipper at the back or the side.
Every dress on this rail comes in S, M, L and XL, and most also in XXL. This rail carries no XS and no XXXL. Every piece is a reproduction: a garment tagged 1950s follows a fifties silhouette and was not manufactured in that decade.
